I was shocked to see your response to Alex's
request for advice. No one is an expert in everything. I don't know about you but I think responding
with a "you are stupid" to any question someone
might ask in a genuine quest for better information is, well, a little ignorant. Is this
the type of world we want to live in?
I would advise Alex to get the proper scientific
name of any species he wishes to purchase in the
future and throughly research captive care for that particular species before bringing it home. Better yet, I would discourage him from keeping amphibians
as pets. They don't get a lot out of the deal and
even though a lot of pet stores are legitimate,
just the fact that there is a demand for amphibians as pets allows a black market and illegal practices to exist. My advice is look into getting a domesticated animal as a pet, i.e.
one that can not be collected from the wild.
Alex, I did not think your question was stupid. I
thought Jim's response was rude.
