: I would appreciate any info on this snake. It is a baby. All black with an orange/red ring around its head.
: Is this snake poisonous?
: What should I do? It is in another classroom of the school that I teach in. The teacher said it is hiding behind a bookshelf and some times comes out and slithers across the floor. The Director/ Principal said to just leave it alone but I don't like the idea of it being around the children (1st graders)Please email me directly.cpnna@home.com
: Thank you
rIGNECK SNAKES ARE HARMLESS TO PEOPLE, I'VE NEVER HANDLED ONE THAT WAS INCLINES TO EVEN BITE! If at all possible, it would n't hurt to move the snake to a park (with plenty of rock and debris for the snake to hide among) or other protected area as so the snake itself isn't accidently trodden upon!
